What Works LGBTQ+

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) are committed to improving to equity, diversity and inclusion. We strive to continuously learn and improve our understanding of and approach to LGBTQ+ issues and, as part of the What Work Network LGBTQ+ group, identify how this intersects with the EEF’s work on improving educational attainment of the poorest pupils in English schools and how we can identify opportunities to support LGBTQ+ pupils.

Amy Ellis-Thompson [She/Her]

Amy manages the end-to-end process for the production, quality and reach of EEF’s Guidance Reports, which provide evidence-based recommendations for teachers and education professionals on key teaching and learning topics. She has recently worked for the National Tutoring Programme: the government’s flagship education catch-up initiative to mitigate learning loss for disadvantaged pupils. In her spare time Amy can be found running around a muddy rugby pitch and proudly identifies as gay.
