What Works Wellbeing

What Works LGBTQ+

The What Works Centre for Wellbeing brings together the best available evidence on what works to improve wellbeing – in what contexts and for who. We analyse data to identify who is missing out on wellbeing benefits, and why, so that we can inform decision makers to make more effective policies which reduce wellbeing inequalities. Together with our partners the Campaign to End Loneliness we work to ensure our research includes analyses of wellbeing inequalities, including for LGBT+ people.

We know that LGBT+ people are more likely to have lower wellbeing, and that their wellbeing has worsened during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the wellbeing data we have is not always full or detailed enough to let us analyse people’s experience and outcomes in a robust way.

If you are studying the wellbeing of LGBT+ people, or would like to talk to us about a research collaboration or question – please get in touch: info@whatworkswellbeing.org
